How to make Dahi Puri – Dahi puri chaat is one of my favorite Chaat! I cannot believe I had never had it India. I didn’t even know that this Chaat existed until 5 years ago when a couple of my friends took us to famous restaurant in another city owned by a Punjabi family from Jalandhar. That was the first time I had a bite of heavenly Chaat and now i try it at every restaurant I go to.
Crispy Crunch Puri, stuffed with little pieces of Bhalla, boiled potatoes and chana topped with Dahi with a hint of sweetness, cilantro chutney and Sweet tamarind chutney ummm. It was love at first bite!
The best part is the recipe is not that tricky. Its simplicity is the best part.

Dahi Puri ~ Dhaba Style !!
Ingredients
Puri
- Sooji – 1 Cup
- Maida – 1 Tbsp
- Baking Soda – ¼ Tsp
- Salt – ¼ Tsp
- Water – 1/3 Cup
Stuffing for 5 Puris
- Check Pea – ½ Cup
- Boiled Potato – ½
- Bhalla – 1
- Kala Namak / Black Himalayan Salt – ¼ Tsp
- Roasted Cumin Powder – ½ Tsp
- Red Chili Powder – ¼ Tsp
Toppings for 5 Puris
- Yogurt / Curd – ½ Cup whipped
- Cilantro / Mint Chutney - 1 Tbsp
- Sweet Tamarind Chutney – 1 Tbsp
- Nylon Sev – 1/2 Tbsp
- Fresh Pomegranate Seeds – 1 Tsp Optional
