How to make Delhi Style Aloo Chaat – Aloo Chaat is a very popular street food in Delhi. It is shallow fried potatoes in a mix of spices and lemon juice. Its a very Quick and Tasty snack to make at home.
To make it healthier you can also bake the potatoes.

Ingredients
For Frying
- Oil - To shallow fry
- Aloo / Potatoes - 2
For Chaat
- Lemon Juice - 3 Tbsp
- Roasted Cumin Powder - 1 Tsp
- Dry Mint Leaves - 1 Tsp
- Chaat Masala - 1/2 Tsp
- Kala Namak / Black Himalayan Salt - 1/2 Tsp
- Red Chilli Powder - 1/4 Tsp
- Fresh Dhaniya / Cilantro - 2 Tbsp Chopped
For Garnish:
- Ginger - 1 inch Julienned
- Salt - 1 Pinch
- Lemon Juice - 3 Tsp
Instructions
- Take Julienned Ginger in a bowl, add lemon juice, salt and keep aside. We will use this later to garnish.
- Heat Oil in a pan between medium to high.
- Add Potatoes once the oil is heated and shallow fry until light golden brown. Turn potatoes in between.
- Take out potatoes on a oil absorbent paper to soak extra oil.
- Take fried potatoes in a large bowl so you have enough room to mix.
- Add Lemon Juice, Roasted Cumin Powder, Dry Mint Leaves, Chaat Masala, Kala Namak, Red Chili Powder, Chopped Cilantro and Mix very well.
- You can also add 1.5 tbsp of Cilantro chutney for extra flavors. Reduce Salt quantity if add ing Cilantro Chutney
- Garnish with Ginger and Serve!!
