How to make Matar Paneer Dhaba Style

Ingredients
For Paste
- Ghee - 2 Tbsp
- Black Cardamom / Badi Elaichi- 2
- Green Cardamom / Elaichi - 6
- Cinnamon / Dalchini - 1 inch
- Cloves / Laung - 5
- Black Peppercorn / Kali Mirch - 1/4 Tsp
- Coriander / Dhaniya Seeds - 2 Tsp
- Cumin / Jeera - 2 Tsp
- Ginger - 1 Tbsp
- Garlic - 1 Tbsp
- Green Chilli - 4
- Cashews - 20
- Onion - 1 Big Chopped
- Tomato - 4 medium Chopped
- Salt - 1 Tsp
Gravy
- Butter - 1 Tbsp
- Cumin / Jeera - 1 Tsp
- Turmeric - 1/2 Tsp
- Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder - 2 Tbsp
- Honey - 1 Tsp
- Salt - 1 Tsp
- Water - 1 Cup
- Cream - 2 Tbsp
- Green Peas - 2 Cups
- Paneer - 400 Gm
Instructions
To make Paste
- In a big pan on medium high heat add Ghee.
- Now add Black Cardamom, Green Cardamom, Cinnamon, Cloves, Coriander Seeds, Cumin.
- Cook for 1 minute or till Jeera sputters.
- Now add Ginger, Garlic , GReen Chillies and Cashews. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Add Onion and cook till translucent.
- Add Tomatoes and Salt. Cook till tomatoes are fully soft.
- Turn the heat off, keep it on the side and Let it cool.
- Once Cool, Grind into Fine Paste.
For Matar Paneer
- In the same pan now add butter and Cumin seeds.
- Cook till cumin starts to sputter.
- Now Add paste to the pan and mix.
- Add Turmeric, Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder, Honey, Salt and water. Mix well.
- Now add Cream, Green Peas and Mix. Cover with lid and cook for 10 minutes on medium heat.
- Stir in between.
- Add Paneer and Cook for 2 more minutes.
