Ingredients
Korma Paste
- Ghee - 2 Tbsp
- Cinnamon / DalChini - 1/2 inch stick
- Bay Leaf / Tej Patta - 2
- Poppy Seeds / khus khus - 2 Tsp
- Almonds / Badam - 2 Tbsp Slivered
- Cashews / Kaju - 12
- Onions - 2 Cups Chopped
- Ginger Garlic Paste - 2 Tbsp
- Tomatoes - 2 Cups
- Salt - 1 Tsp
Korma Gravy
- Butter or Ghee - 2 Tbsp
- Red Chilli Powder - 1 Tsp
- Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder - 2 Tsp
- Turmeric / Haldi - 2 Tsp
- Black Pepper Powder - 1/2 Tsp
- Cardamom / Elaichi Seed Powder - 1/4 Tsp
- Cumin / Jeera Powder - 4 Tsp
- Coriander / Dhaniya Powder - 2 Tsp
- Yogurt + Water - 2 Tbsp Yougurt + 4 Tbsp Water
- Water - 1 Cup
- Salt - 1 Tsp
- Garam Masala - 1 Tsp
- Paneer - 400 gm
Instructions
Korma Paste
- In a Pan on medium heat add Ghee.
- Once the ghee is heated add Cinnamon, Bay Leaves , Poppy Seeds, Almonds and Cahsews.
- Cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Now add Onions. Cook till Onions turn translucent.
- Once the onions turn translucent Add Ginger Garlic Paste.
- Cook till the raw aroma or ginger disappears.
- Add Tomatoes and Salt. Cook for 6 to 7 minutes.
- Turn off the flame and let the mixture cool.
- Once its cool , add it to a mixer grinder and make a smooth paste.
Korma Gravy
- In the same pan on medium heat now take Butter or Ghee.
- Add the fine grinded paste and mix well.
- Now add all the dry spices. Red Chilli Powder, Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder, Black Pepper Powder , Cardamom seed Powder, Cumin Powder and Coriander Powder.
- Mix very well.
- Now turn the flame to low. Cover the pan with a lid and Cook for about 3 minutes.
- Remove the Lid and stir the mixture.
- Now add Yogurt+water mix, Water and Salt. Mix well.
- Cover the pan with the lid again and cook for 3 minutes.
- Add Garam Masala , Honey and Paneer.
- Cover with lid and cook for 3 more minutes.
- Serve Hot with Rice or Naan Bread.
