Ingredients
Korma Paste
Ghee - 2 Tbsp
Cinnamon / DalChini - 1/2 inch stick
Bay Leaf / Tej Patta - 2
Poppy Seeds / khus khus - 2 Tsp
Almonds / Badam - 2 TbspSlivered
Cashews / Kaju - 12
Onions - 2 CupsChopped
Ginger Garlic Paste - 2 Tbsp
Tomatoes - 2 Cups
Salt - 1 Tsp
Korma Gravy
Butter or Ghee - 2 Tbsp
Red Chilli Powder - 1 Tsp
Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder - 2 Tsp
Turmeric / Haldi - 2 Tsp
Black Pepper Powder - 1/2 Tsp
Cardamom / Elaichi Seed Powder - 1/4 Tsp
Cumin / Jeera Powder - 4 Tsp
Coriander / Dhaniya Powder - 2 Tsp
Yogurt + Water - 2 Tbsp Yougurt + 4 Tbsp Water
Water - 1 Cup
Salt - 1 Tsp
Garam Masala - 1 Tsp
Paneer - 400 gm
Instructions
Korma Paste
In a Pan on medium heat add Ghee.
Once the ghee is heated add Cinnamon, Bay Leaves , Poppy Seeds, Almonds and Cahsews.
Cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
Now add Onions. Cook till Onions turn translucent.
Once the onions turn translucent Add Ginger Garlic Paste.
Cook till the raw aroma or ginger disappears.
Add Tomatoes and Salt. Cook for 6 to 7 minutes.
Turn off the flame and let the mixture cool.
Once its cool , add it to a mixer grinder and make a smooth paste.
Korma Gravy
In the same pan on medium heat now take Butter or Ghee.
Add the fine grinded paste and mix well.
Now add all the dry spices. Red Chilli Powder, Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder, Black Pepper Powder , Cardamom seed Powder, Cumin Powder and Coriander Powder.
Mix very well.
Now turn the flame to low. Cover the pan with a lid and Cook for about 3 minutes.
Remove the Lid and stir the mixture.
Now add Yogurt+water mix, Water and Salt. Mix well.
Cover the pan with the lid again and cook for 3 minutes.
