How To Make Ram Ladoo – If you are from Delhi or have been living in Delhi then I am sure you must have seen quite a few vendors on the street selling this delicious Ram Ladoo snack and even had it quiet a few times.
If you have not yet I would highly recommend you try this either at home or at a chaat place near you. This is a very standard still unique dish. They key for this recipe is to be able to make the Ram Ladoo soft on the inside yet crunchy from the outside. Once you have masterd that trick then all you need is some shredded mooli/radish, Sweet, mint chutneys and some chaat masala. The deliciousness of this recipe is in its simplicity. Its spicy, Its sweet, its got that sharpness of Radish in it.

Ram Ladoo ~ Dhaba Style !!
Ingredients
Ladoo
- Moong Dal - 2 Cups
- Channa Dal - 1/2 Cup
- Ginger Paste - 2 Tbsp
- Cilantro - 2 Tbsp
- Hing - 1/4 Tsp
- Red Chili Powder - 1 Tsp
- Baking Soda - 1 Tsp
- Roasted Cumin Powder - 3 Tsp
- Salt - 2 Tsp
- Oil - To Fry
- Toppings;
- Chaat Masala - Pinch
- Mooli / Daikon Radish - 2 Tbsp Grated
- Cilantro - 1 Tsp
- Cilantro & Mint Chutney - 1 Tbsp
- Sweet Tamarind Chutney - 1 Tbsp
Instructions
- Grind Soaked moong dal and channa dal into fine paste with water
- Add ginger paste, cilantro, hing, red chili powder, baking soda, roasted cumin powder and salt.
- Mix well
- Heat oil to 420 F and scoops of the batter to make ladoos
- Fry until light brown
- Fry again before serving for crispy ladoos
- Top it with some chaat masala, mooli, cilantro, cilantro chutney and sweet tamarind chutney and serve!
