Tawa Pulao – Dhaba Style

Ingredients

Boil Vegetables

  • Water - 10 Cups
  • Green Beans - 1/2 Cup Chopped
  • Cauliflower - 1 Cup Chopped
  • Green Peas / Matar - 1/2 Cup
  • Carrots - 1/2 Cup Diced

Tawa Pulao

  • Butter - 2 Tbsp
  • Onion - 1 Medium Sliced
  • Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 Tbsp
  • Green Peppers - 1/2 Cup
  • Green Chillies - 4
  • Cilantro / Dhaniya Leaves - 1/2 Cup
  • De Seeded Tomatoes - 4
  • Salt - 1 Tbsp
  • Pav Bhaji Masala - 2 Tbsp
  • Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder - 1 Tbsp
  • Boiled Rice - 2 Cups Cooked 95%

Instructions

Boil Vegetables

  1. In a big pan add water and bring it to boil.
  2. Add the Green Beans, Cauliflower, Green Peas and Carrots.
  3. Boil for 5 Minutes. Strain in a strainer and Keep it aside.

Tawa Pulao

  1. Take a big Tawa or pan on medium heat.
  2. Add Butter and Onions. Cook till Onions are translucent.
  3. Now add Ginger and Garlic Paste. Cook till raw aroma of ginger Disappears.
  4. Now turn the heat to high.
  5. Add Green Peppers, Green Chillies, Cilantro Leaves and De Seeded Tomatoes.
  6. Cook till the Tomatoes are properly cooked.
  7. Add Boiled Vegetables, Salt, Pav Bhaji Masala and Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder. Mix well.
  8. Cook for 2 minutes.
  9. Now Add Boiled Rice.Make Sure the rice is completely dry.
  10. Take 2 Stirs and Gently mix the rice in the bhaji.
  11. Serve Hot with Chilled Raita.
