How to make Tomato Rice – Tomato rice is a very easy and delicious recipe. Prepared by cooking Rice in a Tomato Masala.

Ingredients
- Oil - 4 Tbsp
- Mustard Seeds - 1 Tsp
- Methi Seeds - 1/4 Tsp
- Cinnamon - 2 Inch
- Cloves - 6
- Onion - 1 Cup fine Chopped
- Ginger Garlic Paste - 3 Tsp
- Tomatoes - 2 Cup chopped
- Green Chilies - 2
- Chopped Coriander Leaves - 1/2 Cup
- Curry Leaves - 20
- Turmeric Powder - 1/2 Tsp
- Red Chili Powder - 1 Tsp
- Kashmiri Red Chili Powder - 1Tsp
- Black Pepper Powder - 1 Tsp
- Coriander Powder - 1 Tsp
- Cumin Powder - 2 Tsp
- Soaked Rice - 2 Cup
- Water - 3 Cups
- Salt - 2.5 Tsp
Instructions
- Heat Oil in a pressure cooker on low flame
- Add mustard seeds
- Once the mustard seeds starts to crackle, add Methi Seeds and saute for few seconds
- Add Onions and saute for few minutes.
- Add Cinnamon and Cloves, mix and saute with onions until the Onions turn translucent.
- Add Ginger & Garlic Paste, Green Chillies and Curry Leaves. Saute till the raw aroma disappears.
- Add Coriander leaves and saute fora minute.
- Add finally tomatoes and mix well.
- Add Turmeric Powder, Red Chilli Powder, Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder, Black Pepper Powder Coriander Powder, Cumin Powder and mix well.
- Cook until the tomatoes becomes soft and releases oil.
- Add Soaked Rice and mix.
- Add Water and Salt.
- Pressure cook for 1 whistle and let the pressure cooker let to depressurize by itself.
- Fluff and Mix the rice Genty.
